Week #41 (March 21, 2016)

Quote/Scene of the week:

1) This older black baptist lady got baptized on Saturday, it went
awesome, super spiritual, and her testimony was awesome. But after she
sits down from giving her testimony, one of her older black baptist
lady friends stands up, moaning and weeping (reaaaal loud) and starts
screaming, one hand in the air, one hand over her heart:

"OH JESUS, THANK YOU JESUS! OOOOOOHHHHH! THANK YOU JESUS!!"

(For about 2 minutes straight)

It was definitely the most horrifying thing that I have ever witnessed
at a church-held event, but also hilarious to laugh about afterward.

Other than that, no huge funny scenes or quotes this week, I beg forgiveness.

Things have been on fire in our area. Tonight we have to get a split
going with a couple members to cover all of our appointments! Things with
Elder Crockett are going pretty well too - we are finally sinking into
a bit more of a rhythm.

Christy Taylor, the referral I mentioned last week, came to church
(again), and the Sisters in relief society have done a fantastic job
befriending her and helping us teach. Can't tell you how excited we
are to go back and talk with her again!

Spiritual thought:

When you study, seek for inspiration, not just information.
