Week #42 (March 28, 2016)
Quotes/Scenes of the week:
I couldn't think of anything specific, but something overall funny -
we see Marijuana about 30x a day. And get offered some occasionally.
Normally transfers would happen tomorrow, but we are having
a 7 week transfer, so I am here for at least another week!!
The most exciting things in our area right now are:
1) Christy Taylor - our investigator from Las Vegas who is just
accepting the gospel and keeping commitments like it's nobody's
business. Her excitement and seriousness have really brought the ward
together to fellowship her and be part of her conversion - it is the
most magical thing I have ever experienced watching her totally light up.
2) We went and stained the deck of our English ward's bishop. I think
that everyone would be absolutely shocked at how the relationship
between him and the missionaries has changed during my time here. I
really feel like I have earned that guy's respect and trust, and it
feels pretty amazing.
3) The set of senior sister missionaries in my district went home,
and I almost cried saying goodbye to them - they absolutely changed my
mission.
4) We had one of our top investigators just randomly return from
Mexico and tell us they were no longer interested in getting baptized.
That was morally destroying.
Spiritual thought:
Love people. That is what I keep learning how to do on my mission.
